2018 Washington Youth Tour Winners Announced

Washington Youth Tour Writing Contest Winners were announced in March. A total of twelve papers were selected from each school. The winners from Adamsville Jr/Sr High School are Macy Franks, Corrine Wilbanks, Caroline Vinson, Aaron Kiernan, Gracee Martindale and Labren Rich. From McNairy Central High School the winners are Jack Simpson, Logan Moore, Matthew Blankenship, A’zalea Robinson, Caitlyn Wesson and Amanda Cutler. Following a personal interview, Franks, Wilbanks, Simpson and Moore were awarded first place and will join nearly 1,700 students from across the United States for the week long tour, June 8-14. The other winning students received a cash award. PEC would like to congratulate each of these students for their achievements.

Holiday Closing

Phone scams continue to surface in the PEC service area. Consumers have reported receiving calls informing them that their service will be disconnected unless an immediate payment is made over the phone.
